TREASURE HOARDS FIELD GUIDE

Check that the trail is still open.

An exciting prize announcement can remain online long after a treasure is claimed. Use this checklist before buying a book, joining a paid hunt or travelling to a search area.

Find the latest organizer notice

Start at the official source linked on the hunt page. Compare the date of the latest announcement with the original launch. Read the find reports, rules and corrections; a page being reachable is not proof that the hunt is ongoing.

Check each target separately

A multi-box hunt may have some solved targets and some still open. Name the particular box, story or cache you are studying. Do not treat the original total prize pool as the remaining prize.

Understand what the prize description means

An advertised value may describe acquisition cost, an estimate, collectibles or a package with conditions. Read the prize notes and claim instructions. A headline figure is not a guaranteed cash payout.

Check eligibility and entry materials

Look for the deadline, eligible countries or ages, registration requirements, correct edition and retrieval instructions. If a detail is missing or conflicting, ask the organizer before spending money.

How Treasure Hoards handles changes

Our daily source checks flag changed pages for human review. They do not automatically publish a new prize or mark a hunt active. Review dates show when a listing was checked, and “Needs review” calls out uncertainty. Send a dated organizer link when you spot a correction.
